Poems Made Into SongsExpand

Through the Office of English Language Programs and the English Access Microscholarship Program, students from all over the world participated in poetry writing to celebrate National Poetry Month last April. Three of the poems were then made into songs by U.S. Department of State’s Regional English Language Officer Kevin McCaughey. Here are the three poems and their corresponding songs. Life

Life is like a ball
When it spins around
Because it has its up
Side down

Life is like a rabbit
Because it is too fast.
It is like a sand of a glass
Because it has its own limits

Life is like a donkey
It is rough

My Parrot

I have a parrot
My parrot likes carrot
The vegetable carrot
Is favorite of my parrot
Parrot, ohho, my parrot
My parrot has voice
Its voice is nice
Parrot ohho my parrot
My parrot has a nest
Its nest is in the west
My parrot is nearest of my heart
My parrot is part of my heart

My Life

My life is like the rain
Where I drop on everyone
My life is like a bird where
I let myself fly free
My life is like a sea where
I let the jewels of fish swim inside me
My life is like a sea
Where I let people fish to produce food!

Oh! Education, My Light

Oh! Education, my light,
You the eye opener of my life
You education are the light of my mind
My key to open treasures
Without you I can't open doors to my future
You fine tuned my tongue.

Now I can read
Write my name
Arrange numbers and alphabet
Because of you Education
It wasn't as easy as 1 2 3
Or as simple as A B C

All the Scientists, doctors, lawyers and presidents
Respect you, Education
My world is improving because of you
Oh! Education, My mentor, my sunshine
My career is already brightened
Because of you, Education.

My School

The most beautiful school I have ever seen
The most wonderful school I have ever attended
And the most attractive school that I know
That's my school, Molautsi High

Filled with love, joy and happiness
A school of wonders
That's my school
My school, Molautsi High

Like Disney Land in real life
Like Heaven on earth, that's Molautsi High
With best teachers and good learners
I know it'll take me to places
That's my school, Molautsi High

My Teacher

My teacher is a beauty,
She has a good personality.
I think, she is my best friend,
All have to think that.
If I do any mistake,
She tries to help me to solve that.
All respect her,
She stays anywhere.
Our developments are depended,
On her profession.
Everybody should appreciate her emotion.

We Have the Right to Education

We have the right to education
Education you open up our future
We cannot live without you, education
You are the mother of success
You give us pride and the vehicle to succeed
Education, allow me to embrace you
Because you are my hero
I also want to be a hero

Education you the key of our lives
Open the power for me to succeed in our life
You, education, education our future
All I have to do is switch on the candle light
Mzantsi is offering you for free
Let me embrace this gift that is free
One day it'll not be easy
Because it'll not be free

I thank you Mzantsi
For offering me this beam of light
I will take shelter under you education
Use you profitably for my life
Hoping that my friends will do so too
Will love you; embrace you as the light, education.

Education is Like a Fire

Is like a fire
A fire that grows beyond control
With flames that reach higher and higher
A fire that never burns out but just grows

It is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom
The more we want to learn
The more will come to know
And it is not all about reading

It is about how you see the world
You are the mother of all profession
The pillar of life itself
The saviour of mankind

The ladder that takes us to imaginary heights
Without you we are nothing only mere mortals
And shaping our personality is the motto
I want to thank you for your greatness
Because of you I have a future for which is bright and clear.

My School

I read in a school
Which is very cool
When our school is off
Our peon do it lock
We have a clock
It gives us hope
When we feel bore
We see its hall
Its hall is very nice
Which gives us delight
When we have recess
Everyone enjoy his mess

Chess as Content

Dear teacher,
Focusing solely on structure and form
Brings no good but a storm
That drowns learners' motivation
Suffocates any form of inspiration
Increases inhibition and frustration
Impedes language learning progress
Causes failure to perform and express
Oneself in target language with success

Dear teacher,
Think of first language acquisition
Its environment and conditions
Create similar situations and context
To enable learners acquire at best
Integrate language and content instruction
Prompt interaction and meaning construction
Develop interpersonal language competency
Along with cognitive academic proficiency

Dear teacher,
Apart from academic subjects as content
Recreation is an area of interest
Among learners' hobbies I made my quest
As leisure activities incite them to do best
Hey! The most optimal I can suggest
Promote target language through chess
As it is fun and free from stress
So rich that vouches for learning progress

Dear teacher,
Chess is an optimal tool
For the effective learning goal
Gives learners mastery and control
To learn the language as a whole
Through integration and experience
Total Physical Response and graphics
Cooperative and task-based learning
A journey from low to high order thinking

Dear teacher,
Nothing to fear, just give it a go
Here are some tips you may follow
Through L1 teach them how
Get your ducks in a row
Then switch to L2 and start the show
Enhance what they already saw
Introduce what they didn't know
And use interference when doing so

by Chaouki from Tunisia

Yesterday

yesterday did not care to learn a language that is thought to decipher impossilvel
an opportunity emerged for me or I gave
my destination, I was chosen
accepted for the course
Today, I run for the hours I spend in CCBEU are not wasted,
Today, I am finally understanding English
I realized that I open doors
I know now that I can follow different paths, and that's because I have more knowledge.
tomorrow will not be seizing what ower or learned today
maybe tomorrow I'll be in the U.S.A or elsewhere
and because it completely mastered the English and I can go wherever I want
tomorrow I'll be willing to learn more and more.

Be An Interactive Teacher

Dear teacher,
It's the early twenty-first century
Time to check your teaching inventory
So as to adapt a rich variety
Of classroom roles to share the territory
With learners and afford them mastery
Of their own learning and discovery

Dear teacher,
Say adieu to autocracy and welcome democracy
Overwhelm learners with much interest and courtesy
Create classroom dynamics with great efficiency
And perform an array of roles with high proficiency
To empower learners to achieve the intended competency
And use the target language with accuracy and fluency

Dear teacher,
Get rid of the ways you were taught
To get off to a flying start
Facilitate learning and avoid learning by heart
No more prevailing instructions, use directions instead
Make your guidance and assistance a work of art
And make the learning on student's part

Dear teacher,
We live in the information technology age
Time to be a tech-savvy to update your page
And time for learners to take the stage
Forget about being the only source of knowledge
And create productive learning environments to engage
Learners to develop skills needed in the workplace

My Hope in Future

I see a dream every night.
I feel I am in New York.
I taste hamburgers and cheeseburgers.
I think my dream will come true soon in future.

by Russkikh from Tajikistan

Believe

Believe that life is good
And be sure that you’ll have:
Happiness and good mood ,
And all things that you want.
Believe that your dreams will come true
It doesn’t matter how they are
Just think about what you want to do
And you’ll obtain it, I swear.
Believe that love exists
And be sure that you’ll find it
Make everything to keep it,
‘Cause this feeling is a gift.
Believe in what you want to be
And it will realize, you’ll see
But never let your dream to be destroyed
‘Cause your life will be annoyed.
Believe in yourself
And never give up
Remember-you’re the best
And never make it stop.

by Ruxunda from Moldova

Be Strong

How to be when your heart is beating?
How to be when you have a feeling?
When all around you go wrong,
The only way to be is to be strong.
How to learn to tell a word?
How to learn to hear what we want?
When all around you go wrong,
The only thing to learn is to be strong.
How to start a better day?
How to start to find your way?
When all around you go wrong,
The only thing to start is to be strong.
How to do your dream to become true?
How to do your goal to have a clue?
When all around you go wrong,
The only thing to do is to be strong.

by Ruxunda from Moldova

A Dialogue…

-What do you feel now?
-I can’t say…
-Is it love or just a wish?
-I can’t say…
-Are you crying?
-Yes, I am…
-Why?
-Maybe because I can’t understand…
-What can’t you understand?
-Why the life behaves so with us?
-How?
-  It lets us to cry when we have a pain in our hearts
It makes us to cry even if there is no reason for…
It makes to beat two hearts
When it chooses the door.
It makes us to smile
When the pain doesn’t leave our soul
And we want to scream for a mile
And we have no way to go.
It makes us to believe
When there is no chance
And everything we give
Is like a reverence.

by Ruxunda from Moldova

A Nice Dream

I saw a dream that I was in the moon
It was a yellow ball, where a rabbit smiles and calls
“Hi, my friend come close to me”
When I was floating
Everywhere was cool
Lots of stars were shining
Like a bright and blue school.
And I saw a strange thing
A pretty angel was coming
That I’ve never seen
The wand in her hand is shining
She whisper me softly
Son, you are rightful today
Then I woke up energetically
To survive the day!

by D.S.H Thilini and Thamashi from Access Sri Lanka and Han from Access Myanmar

The Morning

The moon is setting, the sun is shining.
The clouds are saying in the sky,
“Let’s start the day”.

The wind is blowing, the birds are flying.
The flowers are saying,
“Let’s add beauty to the day”.

The stream is drifting
The fish are playing
The angels are wishing
“Be a peaceful day”

The animals are gamboling
The children are caroling, and
Everyone is saying!
“What a pleasant day!”

by A.M. Amadi and E.A. Achini from Access Sri Lanka and Han from Access Myanmar

For the poem, “My Dream”

If I were a flower,
I'm in your sight
You will feel light and delight
And I will clear all your plight.
The fragrance I emit;
If you happen to breathe it,
You will feel just like eating the nectar
Which can make your feeling fresher.
We, young people,
Are just like flowers in the garden.
We have a mission called
Creating a better world!
I'll surely take part
In the nation building task,
A must I must do.
This is my humble desire
Which I will carry out in the near future

by Si Thu from Access Myanmar

Me or Nothing

I wish I can walk on the moon
I wish I become wealthy, famous and graduate very soon
I’d like to get everything for free
And have a room with money is up to the knee
I want to own a brand new house and a big car, new piano and the latest guitar
Live happily, just like a star
I dream for being the topic of the media and the news
I’d love to be the example all the fans would choose
I will lead this world and take it all; I will be out of control
I got a genius brain with a particular sign; I can even better than Einstein.

by Rihab from Access Tunisia

I Wish

I wish
I can…
explain the concealed
picture the enigmas
reveal the arcane
make a square deal

I wish
I can...
I can practice
Practice to open the eye
The eye of heart than physical
The eye of vision than sight
The eye of care than ego-centrism
The eye of worry than desire
I wish…
I can

When the Leaves Turn Green

When the leaves turn green,
Sets love and thirst in the spirits
And bit by bit the breeder’s breeds broaden
Softened will be the air we breathe.

Global have gone values!
In the new horizon snooze new opportunities
Reform, not! Transform, yes!

Open now the true door
For the world to enter.

Start A Journey

Kill your fears
And wipe your tears.
Open your eyes
To see where the truth lies.
You can’t be blind
As long as you have a mind.
Keep a positive attitude,
Fill your heart with gratitude.
With love and tolerance,
With faith and confidence.
Dive deep in your soul,
And start a journey to your goal.

Is there a sign? A word?
Or is everything blurred?
Never mind!
Persevere and you’ll find
A guiding light
That’ll make your path bright
Follow your dream
However far it may seem
One day you’ll be there
But never forget to share
Be for others a shining smile
Their pain will fade in a while

My future, I think, will be happy.
My future, I think, will be good.

I will grow my own respect!

Soon Coming Spring

Good morning, native land!
Did you sleep well this night?
What have you seen while you slept?
The sweetest dream, am I right?

I have seen the coming spring,
Which was wandering near the town?
Flying on the lightest wings,
Going and going around.

It got warmer at the moment
It got bright, fresh and clean.
We will see if I was right
About the soon coming spring.

The Future of our Civilization…

We make wrong solutions,
We don’t want to regret,
How we live, what we spend,
We do not understand:
Are we good or bad?
We just used only one-
To destroy everyone!
And we don’t want to thing:
How to change everything?

My Future

Future is something
That we can explain
Use our imagination
And take it to plan
Make our target
Go forward to it
Take all information
That makes us profit
In future, I hope
All of us will be friends
Who will help in the moment
When we will need them
We reach our goals and
We meet our love
And the best thing that happens
Is our family life
I believe everything that I’ve written

And will give us a lot of happiness too
Future is good but we live only now

That makes me smile

Just Hope

I had a dream I was a king
I wake up still king
I saw the fingers inside a ring
and on my legs were some bee’s stings
I flew away as the darkness follows
I can’t even scream how terrifying it swallows
A torch of hope was coming from within
Water falls from the sky to wash our sins
But again war is spread all over the universe
Human beings, nature and even animals
Though we must always hope for a better day
Cross your fingers and pray
Don’t worry there is always a way
That’s when I wake up and light’s surrounding me
Everybody’s happy the it the he and the she
This is our earth in the 22nd century
Just hope
For the best and you’ll see

A Dream

Like a bird;
Soaring near the horizon,
So it flies.
Like the skies;
Without boundaries,
So it extends
Like a song;
Deep in the heart of man,
The tune of it,
Only comprehensible,
By the one who sings it
So is a dream,
Hidden within a man’s soul

Hopes

They come and go
They raise and fall
They take you up
They take you down
They smash, crush and dash
They lift you up and encapsulate you
They are like the swinging pendulum
They either help you reach the podium
Or drop and drag you to opium
Hope my hopes hope me only the best hopes ever

Child Labor

My young child! Don’t cry
You can do, if you try
My young child! It will be alright
You tears will dry and you will get your right
No one can ever explain you “why?”
You have to fund the answer with sigh

And then you will be fit

“Peace”

Peace brings freedom that we crave
From great stress, it will save
One main thing, it does assure
We’ll feel at ease and secure

Peace Brings friendliness and joy
It is sacred, not a toy
Rooted deeply in respect
Justice something must protect
Peace brings us tranquility
Along with much needed stability
Sense of quiet good will
Peace is serene and very still

Access came into my life
And it came to guide me

Despite all difficulties
we'll miss it

Dear Earth,

Life

Why does life has to be so cruel?
Why life has many ups and downs?
Why when you try to fix your mistake it changes the question?

Why life has to be difficult?
Why do life has good and bad people?
Why does life have things that can harm or comfort you?

The word life is simple to say
But difficult to live it
Why sometime life makes
The people you love the most
Leave you?

Something that makes us live in life
Something that we can’t leave without

 Life is Like a Ball

Life is like a ball
When it spins around
Because it has its up
Side down

Life is like a rabbit
Because it is too fast.
It is like a sand of a glass
Because it has its own limits

Life is like a donkey
It is rough

LIFE

Lead your life

Lead your life or allow it to lead you
Build your dreams or allow them to shape you
Love yourself or allow it to step on you
Trigger and create or follow and imitate
Predict and plan or be driven by the winds
Draw on every second and make it count or kill yourself by killing time away
Be your own Bernardshaw or be Bernashawed

Life Has Roots

He who says past is past is a liar
A dormant volcano hides fire
Memories are there; they never expire
Their resurrection rejuvenates all desire
To make of you a dreamer and a lofty aspirer
Past, Present, Future are but a circuit with no wire

by Chaouki from Tunisia

Luck!

Luck never happens luckily
It has a well-defined itinerary
To reach a target immediately
It may pass by you airily
And if you are a bit lucky
You can grab a puff so quickly
Otherwise, you will lament its fatality

by Chaouki

Rise!

Ups and downs nurture life
Patience and endurance help you survive
Never know when life can supply or deprive
Jumping into despair is a futile dive
Why not refrain and derive?
Seek your potentials to contrive
Original ways to strive
Against balks all along your drive
Never lose hope, but thrive
Till life gives you five!

by Chaouki from Tunisia

The soul oxygen

Being free to think, to dream when hovering
This is the true happiness for all writers,
Being free to play, to run or dance
This is, oh yes, the true joy of all kids
Being free to choose one’s religion
This is the freedom of mind
Being free to live one’s passion
This is what makes the heart in full emotion
Always be free but never forget dignity, sincerity and honesty

Life is name of sharing

Life is name of sharing
It’s the name of bearing
Yes we face suffering
There is no way to fight
Lord has given this pride
To help the humanity and feel pride
We should respect humanity
We should believe in equality

SUCCESS

Today’s failure may show success tomorrow
Today’s setback may not stop the river’s flow
So you must find your success
Embrace your success
When you hold success
You must keep it save
When you have success
You must share it
Success may not end with your goal
You need more and more to find it.

What you see is what you get

"what you see is what you get
people trapped on the net
getting money as a debt
feeling sorry and regret
they're right and life's low
story starting time ago
like filming a movie show
white pigeon seeming a crow
fighting over humans rights
being chosen as good knights
knowing who's starting fights
giving us some nasty bites
i don't know even what to say
hurting like a tooth decay
get your cards and go replay
we have nothing just to pray "

by Ameni from Access Tunisia

Dear Life

Dear life, why do you play hard to get?
Do you remember the first time we met?
I cried as soon as I took my first breath
Since I didn’t know anything, I just accepted you
I had no choice except walking step by step with you
The first step was innocence, the second was reality
The third was dream, the fourth was difficulty
The fifth was hope, the sixth was responsibility
The seventh was hesitation, the eighth was certainty
The ninth step is still a mystery
After all you fooled me; you set all the steps before me
You were just watching what would happen to me
But now I will take the lead, and choose happiness as my one and only step

Poem About Life

Life is like garden
Which is full of flower
It gives us a pleasure
Life can be for nation

Life is like a sun
Some time it rises and
Sometime it sets
But gives result for what is done

Life beautiful and pure

Life beautiful and pure in your way of being
Always surprising
Sometimes calm and quiet as the morning breeze
Sometimes turbulent as the waters of the ocean
And learning is eternal
Causing us to take lessons
Of deepest pains, we face
Or of the worst mistakes committed
And sometimes giving us immense joy
By things so simple
This is the life
That makes us go by unimaginable ways
Without knowing the right course to get
And what find the front
Simply beautiful and surprising,
In your essence

My life is like winter

My life is like winter, because it’s very cold and angry
My life is like zebra, because it’s two lines black and white.
My life is like sun, because is always light.
My life is like a flower, because its blossoms.

My life is like a spring

My life is like a spring, because I feel a greenness in it.
My life is like a bird, because anytime it can be end and flies to another world.
My life is like a light, because it always bright.
My life is like an examination, because I am sometimes lucky and sometimes I am not.

Life is His, His, Whose, Whose.

It’s a very hot day!
I can’t hear what you say.
Walking on the road alone,
I have nothing to mourn.
Everyone is so busy around me,
There is no time for them to see.
His, his, whose, whose! Nowadays!
Nothing to do, everybody says.

LIMPOPO

Limpopo my Province with beautiful people
Limpopo you have a beautiful buildings, shops and hospitals
Limpopo the Eden of South Africa
Limpopo my Province
We have schools where we get education
The schools are beautiful because of you
You have many departments
The premier's, local government, health and forestry and others
They all make us communities to live together
You give our grannies money to support us Limpopo
You take care of the orphans
Above all you give us education for free
I love you my Province Limpopo.

MY VILLAGE-BLOODRIVER

A village with no peace, joy and laughter
My spirit tightens as my heart beats
When I see people dying everyday
When parents wail because of gangsters
My heart is pounding as I learned that a 12 year old beats up his parents
Bloodriver
A village with blood everywhere
Parents spending sleepless nights
Worried about their children going to clubs and taverns to lull their brains with alcohol

Love your neighbours and they will love you
The wise man once said;
A person is a person because of other people

My village Bloodriver
Youngsters live telling themselves that; kill or be killed;
Will there ever be peace in my village?
I am yearning for it
Let us live like ordinary people in this village.

The province of peace and harmony
The home of beauty and brightness
The province of calmness

How lucky i am to be born in Limpopo

How beautiful this place is
Like treasures in the case
And sunny summer day
Has a lot of happy faces

The City Poem

Happy faces, beautiful faces.
People are shouting, music plays loudly.
Taxis honking, builders banging.

These are busy city noises.
Businesses running, Ice-cream shop looks nice and cool,
Ice-cream taste sweet and delicious.

You see new pretty faces. Cellphones ringing,
People singing.
You will never know who you will meet.

M'bambatt (Wrestling)

Every night we lit fire in the middle of Dîngîral,
Around which gather all the youth of the village.
Form groups of wrestlers.
Each group doing a good allowance, seeing reward.
Are also attended by young girls.
Wrestlers “ndaalas' “are colorful.
Strong supporters cheer
Before the fight, each group boasts show sits strength
Sketch rhythmic dance steps on the rhythm of drums.
Matches torsos wrestlers are dotted.
Each wrestler believes detain the best marabout, remains hopeful of winning.
As congratulations, we chanted banners,
Scarves followed by yells.
Wrestling is a sport, not only it hardens the body
But it also brings unites young people.

Dîngîral (Campground)

A starry night head to the campground
Girls in ebony skins
Well trained breast
Refreshing smiles
The ivory teeth well tidy
With flat breasts
With wide hips
They form a circle
At the end of which
One of them is sitting there
Bathtub beneath her feet
She beats by lifting in a jiffy
Draped in their beautiful clothes
The other girls cheering in unison.
Shortly after tears up the air a melodious voice
And other together repeat
Then they make inputs on stage
Two by two, in a rhythmic pace
And the boys eagerly devouring eyes
Each dances, demonstrates, torpedoes hips as she can.
When silence or calm gives way to noise and brainstorming household,
The lovebirds meet, exchange rings and ideas.
The lover teaches the flower of his soul
To adopt good habits throughout life
Everyone enriches and learns from the other
Such as studious students eager to learn
In front of stories, riddles and puzzles
They are all ears
At daybreak boys and girls disperse
Like dead leaves scattered in the village
And are preparing to go to the very joyfully fields.

The Call Beyond the Sea

There is another land beyond this sea, Mother.
There is, I know.
I can hear its sirens screaming
into my ears.
I can feel the touch of steel and gold,
marble, and silver.
I can see its rising mountains
of condominiums and skyscrapers.
I can hear its call, I can hear its call.
This sea would not be a barricade,
This sea will bar me not
to venture into that land beyond.
That rich land is the reality
of my dreams, Mother,
the concreteness of my visions.
I could be who I am.
I will listen to the call.
I will listen to the call.
So, let me ride on the vessel
whose sails will take me there,
to that land beyond this sea, Mother.
I can be who I am
In that land beyond this sea.

Nation

My nation will get its right
If we will not fight
If you know your nation
You can make it a heaven
Your one wrong step can destroy the nation
Your one right step can make the nation

If we make our nation happy
We can make the whole world happy
My nation will get its right
If we will not fight

Motherland

I want to behold the beauty of Bengal sitting on the mat of grass,
I want to hear the whisper of breeze and the chirping of little birds.

I want to enjoy the golden wave on the arid land of ripe paddy,
I want to see the always shy veiled Bengal lady.

I want to see the little fireflies sparkling in the dark night,
I want to bath in the soft, luminous moonlight.

COLORS

A red rose warmly wrapped my dream
A blue butterfly blew a bright beam
A green glow hugged my golden heart
A yellow yacht yearned to make a start

A white wing waved on a cloud
I'm a queen without a crown
The kingdom of colors is my hometown

My Dream

If I were a butterfly
I’d fly everywhere,
Sucking honey and lapping my wings,
Through the flower yards like
Angels’ paradise;
Over the hills
Across the wind
Strive to obtain honey with bees
They are hidden under the huge leaves…

A Love Reborn

Come, little sunshine,
Reflect into my heart
That it may see Love
Again in her pure state.
Come, soothing spring water,
Sprinkle a few into my wound
That it may cease to hurt
Come, rainbow, come.
Shower me with your splendor
That I may find this Love worth of her rebirth.

Dégage To The Garbage

The earth should be clean
Let's help keep it green
Let's help the government protect the environment
Think about it please
Would you come with us and plant some trees
And even some flowers to help out the bees
Even the butterflies and the bird will sing
When the green ozone become king
If I was the mayor I will save the ozone layer
Like a hero football player
Who Saves the day With an amazing play
Help us find solution
So we can put an end to this pollution
Let's save the fish
By eliminating the rubbish
You don't need cash
To pick up the trash
You can do it in a flash
We say "dégage " To the garbage
And while we are at it, let's get rid of smoking
We are all really tired of all this choking
Let's let every day be an earth day
Not just once a year like your birthday

Curse Not The Darkness, My Son

Curse not the darkness, my Son
when the moon is by the sun
not reflected of its light
and the stars are out of sight.
Curse not the darkness, my Son.
Get a match and light a candle.
Let its shimmering glow, be able
to radiate throughout the dark.
Let every flicker warm
the tip of every leaf of the trees
whose breath sighs with the breeze.
Let every ray send warmth of its chill
from the grove to the windmill.
Let every glimmer give hope
to anyone out there with a rope.
Let every twinkle stir a troubled soul
who is standing on a cliff about to fall.
I tell you, my Son.
Curse not the darkness.
It gives way to the sun
at dawn rises with its brightness.

Why animals bother me….

Donkey, monkey, lion, and tiger
I hate the animals either
They are horrible and dirty of course
Donkey is a fool, monkey is restless, lion is furious
And tiger is merciless
Hippo, turtle, alligator, and dog
They always give me a shock
Hippo is having big teeth
Alligator is powerful eating beast
And turtle is better but very slow
I simply hate animals.

Watching Clouds

I like to look up into the sky
And watch the clouds go sliding by
I like to see them, large and small; I like to try to count them all
I like them when they’re dark before the rain begins to pour and pour
I like to see them shaped like faces or maps of many different places…
I’m glad when clouds are in the sky so I can watch them sliding by…

In the End, Hope

Winter is the saddest season.
We can’t know the reason.
We only learn the lesson:
Winter is the saddest season.
In the winter, the trees are sad.
Like a soul, the weather is cold.
And the love that we had,
Went away and grew old.
Fortunately, the winter will pass
Now, we celebrate the rain
Let’s be less and less sad
‘Cause we can be happy again!

Take their place.

hundreds of stars in the pretty sky
hundreds of shells on the shore together

Closed Clouds

Closed clouds
Eclipsed the Sun
Subsided sounds
Soon will people run.
You feel the gentle breeze?
It’s calm before the storm, it is
You see the sky as lead?
And darkness more
This weather spring
And thunder roar
Then lightning flashed
And fallen drop
Then rain splashed
You feel the light commotion?
And freedom sense
Of crashed emotions?
I like this season tense
I like this weather dance.

My Family

It’s made up of love, tears and laughter
After years it is stronger because of memories
At times we don’t like each other for a while
Yet we love each other for a life time
It’s a place where values and characters are formed

Not due to riches but in its capacity to love
This is where you find those that encourage and
Believe in you
Celebrate with you and comfort you
A family is where one feels most at home
Because you’re always needed and loved
In this family we all feel important
We support and love each other
That’s my family.

Family is all just about love and peace you need in years
It grows stronger with a passing of time
A family is where you feel most at home as you are always needed
You are welcomed, loved and wanted with the making of memories

Believe in you
Always there for you and cares for you

Unrevealed Love

Whenever I look into your eyes, I find my greatest peace.
My heart fills with relaxation, all my happiness increase.

All my sorrows vanish like a magic, when I hear your voice.
Just to hear your lovely words, I'd love to live twice.

Whenever I hold your hands, I find my best shelter.
Can't find anyone safer than you, can't stay with anyone better.

All my tensions fly away, when you come into my sight.
May be I'm in love with you. Yes, I think I'm right.

Though I want to express my love, knowing that it’s true.
Still I can't say, "Mom, I really love you!"

Happy Mother’s Day

This is a very important day. We
Must be grateful for this day. This

Who brought us into this world.

My Mom My Rock

My mom is my rock
My mom is beautiful
Like a PEACOCK
When she smiles I
Just melt like on

There are many way to say
I love you,

You know sometimes
People say we look alike
But you are more
Beautiful than me

You are the only person I love

You will always be in my heart

There are so many word that
Describes u but all I know
Is that you are my mom

Her eyes are diamond
Shining up the sky
When she calls me
She is like a bird singing happy

Best I ever had

From my birth to my elderly
There’s a caring person who always stands by me
In my childhood, you looked after me
When I was a teenager, you’ve been always advising me
You’re the only one who understands me
Whenever I do a mistake, you’ve been always forgiving me
Now it’s my turn to make you feel happy

For Daddy

I may cry a river,
but the tears could never
have you back ever
into my arms.
The ripples could just be an alarm
of a world about to end.
They could be never a sign sent
to me that your soul's
back to your body, it crawls.
Alas, that Sly Shadow
shades anybody under the sun.
Deceiving as he is, I daresay!
Just creeping like that!
Stealthily creeping like a cat.
Oh, I could never connect back
the Thread which dooms
your earthly fate.
Yet, I could have been that early
to say, "I love you,Daddy!"
But time went wasted.
The sun of destiny had set.
Too late I have been.
Now, I cry in heavy rain.

The Old Rocking Chair

There stands my grandfather's
old rocking chair at the corner
of our white-washed porch.
Nobody sits on it now. No one will.
Maybe someday, someone would.
My Grandpa used to tell stories
to us, he, seated on that
old mahogany made rocking chair.
His pipe clamped between his
tobacco-stained lips;
the blue smoke would rise
and it aroused in me
to imagine things in
faraway lands;
the magical lamp of Aladdin,
the majestic ships of Sinbad
in turbulent seas,
the sparkling gems and
nuggets of gold inside
Alibaba's cave,
the towering pyramids
in sand-filled Egypt,
built by pharaohs
whose petrified
bodies now lie inside,
the useless glimmering
wealth strewn around.
My mind stirred with the clash
of swords of the Roman soldiers
who conquered other lands
and made their captives slaves.
My soul merged with the spirit
of the ancient gods worshipped
by tattooed African tribes.
My heart ached with the sentiments
of the Indians who
whispered the chants
of their mystical sages.
Childhood tales my Grandpa told
when seated on that
old mahogany made rocking chair.
Now it stands there
at the corner of our porch,
empty, alone and lonely.
Nobody sits on it now.
No one would, but someday,
somehow, someone will.
It could be me
when my hair turns to gray.
What tales would they be,
when seated on that
old mahogany made rocking chair,
I will tell to
my own grand offsprings?

with the kids she is a friend,
with the family she is a leader,
there is nothing a mom can't do
Love you and salute you mom

A Mother

a mother is,
chef in the kitchen
and
doctor with kids
she is the one,
who never gets tired
and
never get relaxed
a mother is,
lifeguard on the beach
and
teacher with kids
she is the one,
who always want to give her child
a quality education
the one who,
never take care for herself
but
always take care for her kids
a mother is like,
that God came on the earth in the
face of mother
salute you mother for all u gave us.

May she live a long life.

Mother (poem)

My mother is nice, she is very beautiful
She is very very kind and give us love too
O my mom…
She is in my heart. And she is my friend.
We are prince for our mother. She is queen for us.
O my mom…
When we are sad she is also sad
When we are happy she is also happy.
O my mom…

Friends

Trustworthy and honest
Being close forever
As helpful as they can
If only I could thank them for what they are!

From Poland

Bad Friends

I am like this because of friends I’ve chased.
These friends are friends that I don’t want to see ever in my life.
I am a killer because of them.

I don’t know who I am anymore,
They are the reason why my community hate me.
They guided me to wrong things.

When I am walking on the streets
I hear people humming about me
Behind my back.

By Access South Africa

Friends

Friends are good things to have in life
Sometimes they are good
But sometimes they are bad
You sometimes regret to have
A friend
But sometimes remember a friend
So choose a good friend
So that you cannot be
A bad guy
How can you be a good guy with a bad friend?

By Zandi from Access South Africa

My Little Friend

Oh my little friend
Sing songs play the game
Eat, drink and be happy
Sorrow never comes to you
Happiness lives with you
I will pray for you
Oh my little friend
It’s a time to make your future
A great success forever
May Allah bless you
Oh my little friend.

Solidarity

always ready to lend a hand.
Help the other when you can

Friends Should be True

Friends should be true
Understanding, honest
But also lovely,
Sweet and have responsibility
This is a true friendship

 By Rita Fortunato from Portugal

I Have a Friend

I have a friend
That keeps me company
When we are together
I's a big party

We like to walk
To go to the beach and to the country
We make parties
And have fun

Friends

Friendship is like a flower,
It needs love to blossom.

Friends are always there for us,
Even when nobody else is.
They are not different
for they are exactly like us.

By Pedro Figueiredo from Portugal

Friendship

Friendship is like the wind
You can't see it
But you can feel it.
It is something that you must protect
If you don’t want to lose it.
Friendship is not about criticizing
It is about supporting.
If true
It never ends.

By Cátia da Silva Borges from Portugal

Friendship

Friendship can be so complex...
It leaves some discouraged and others happy...
It is the power of the weak
It is the realm of the strong

It may lead us into making mistakes;
The weak let it go,
The strong always raise their heads again

Sweet, sensitive, cold...
But always present in any part
This is friendship

By Diogo Pina from Portugal

Friendship

A lovely girl, with a big heart.
Sensitive, honest and with a great sense of humor,
I have no words to describe how much I like her.
She’s there to pick me up when I'm down,
And to support me.
I'll never let her down, I'll always be there to support her.
She's my friend, and, after all, she's my sister, too.

By Melissa Martins from Portugal

Friendship

Being a friend is not a mere word
A friend is someone who is always there
When needed.
A friend gives us strength
When needed.

Friendship is a strong value
It is the power of the weakest
And the fear of the strongest

Friendship is a true emotion
It is a feeling that unites us
It never abandons us,
But sometimes eludes us.

By Ruben Cortez from Portugal

Friendship

Friends are a good thing to have in life
Friends will always be friends,
Some better than others.
Having a true friend is important to everyone.
Trustworthy and honest
Intelligent and simple
These are the qualities a true friend must have!

By José Barros from Portugal

Friendship

We all need friends in our lives
With trust, love,
Respect and support
A friend for life you’ll have.

What are friends for?
To play with,
To grow with.
They are the ones who give you joy,
Happiness, safety and love,
They are your second family.

By Inês Borges from Portugal

Friendship Cannot be Defined, It Can Only be Felt!

Friendship cannot be defined, it can only be felt!
Friendship makes people happy but also discouraged.
When needed.
True friendship is when we have friends that are always there for us
In the good but also in the bad time!
Friendship is like having a brother or sister, at least from the heart!
Friendship never ends!!

By Camila Francisco from Portugal

Friendship

Having a friend is…
Keeping a treasure chest
Where honesty is the most respected value,
And where love needs no space and
Secrets are the most sacred things.

By Raquel Ramos from Portugal

Being a Good Friend is Being a Brother or a Sister

Being a good friend is being a brother or a sister
It is being there in the good times
but also giving support in the bad ones.
It is trusting one another with all of our hearts
It is not betraying one's trust
It is being patient
It is being tolerant about the differences
It is being a good listener.

A true friendship,
no matter how many years go by
or how far away people are from each other,
always survives.

Unfairness

Black is the color of my skin,
My neighbors believe as a sin,
Like a plague I brought in.
Because my mouth is toughly tied,
My alarming inner cries can't be heard,
Because my injured heart is painfully squeezed,
You don't know I deeply bleed,
Because my eyes are tightly blindfolded,
You don't know I 'm sadly jailed,
Because I'm black, my existence is unheeded.

by Mamadou from Mauritania

I'm from...

I'm from the land of sands.
Sun.
Dark skin and black eyes.
Petra.
The Dead Sea.
I'm from Jordan.

I'm from
Busy streets.
Up and down hills.
No snow.
No trains.
No subways.
Multinational neighborhood.
Nice houses with gardens and balconies.

I'm from
Dad.
Mom.
Hassan.
Hana.
Trad.
Mohammad.
Doa'a
And Yousef.

I'm from
"Don’t' be late".
"You have to get married".
"Listen to your mother".
"Pray".
"Keep hope".
"My heart will be always with you".

I'm from
Patience.
Passion.
Sharing.
Big hopes.
Little wishes.
Wild dreams.
Strong faith.
Loving peace.
Hating violence.
Wishing for a better future.
Wishing for more laughing.

My name is my pride,
My name is my nationality.

I am an African boy,

No Respect

why I don’t listen, why I don’t respect
why I don’t have a trust
why I don’t feel pity for people who need my help
why I don’t appreciate, why I don’t learn from my mistake

I live a complicated life, I only care about myself not others
When something happens, I always take a blame
I’m the same girl you see, the girl with no respect

I don’t know if I can respect
I use to respect everything
But now I respect nothing

The girl with NO RESPECT

by Mokgadi from Access South Africa

Let’s Go Back to our Roots

Let’s go back to our roots
What happened to respecting others
What happened to respecting ourselves?
Let’s not try to impress others
Let’s just be ourselves
We can start by respecting the adults.
By respecting our cultures
Let’s look upon our ancestors
And love, care and respect of another
And also this beautiful country.

That’s Who We Are

It is because of courage that we are called to fight
It is because of showing a personality that we are invoked to act
Who we are is not just a definition given by where we come from or maybe the place of birth, the surname we carry, or how we grew up
It is not a matter of what people have said about us that we are defined;
There is a strong instinct in all of us to thrust forward
That is why we move on, maneuvering at times with dangerous speeds in
The different roads of life
Only moving to conquer that dream that is hidden and kept sacred in the bottom of our hearts
Swimming in the pools of different situations, at times in strokes that we
Don’t know much on how to navigate through the waters of circumstances
With every breathe we take, there appears a new invention of thought
Conceiving some desire, giving birth to a passion
With every day that we live, we believe it is the beginning of a new thing in our lives
Never remain behind doing nothing, when you know you have a strong passion burning like a fire within you
You know deep down inside you want to do it, GO FOR IT
It defines what we are about and who we really are
We are, what we convince ourselves we are!!!

I Am Not a God!

I am not a God to hear her silence
I can sense her mind's ambiance
I am not a God to read her thoughts
I can feel her slightest expressions
I am not a God to foresee her future
I can predict her success and failure
I am not a God to map out her destiny
I can just pray to enjoy her company
I daren’t contradict God's will
Otherwise, I will lose everything
I am a mere human being
who has a definite margin

I am the tree
I am shiny
I am beautiful
I have flowers
I want to be a big tree
I never get tired

I love spring season

Nobody takes interest in our growth
I wish every people protect me
Someday I’ll be used for a

I Was the Shadow

I once overheard myself awakening to the inarticulate mumbles of the monsters in my brain.  Half of me (I don’t know which) was still in a bed of dreams about right words, the sound of flutes and the soft forms of things.

But then I knew that my center was a black prism, perched on my hand, aiming at those giants and hairy beings and blood sucking creatures; trying to turn them into green, indigo, scarlet and tawny moonlight, so that they become forgetfulness very soon.

While harms calcified organisms and nocturnal insect hunters, my pen dropped and my awakened half kept ambulating in a deadly still fishing jig. Dissolving the horrors with every step, visually stroke but thinly conscious, murmuring dreadful words in monotone, I was an impenetrable shadow; infinite and numb.

by Cesar from Peru

A Mystic Hour

4 am is said to be a mystic Hour,
When the subconscious is in power.
The sounds of the world are dulled,
and common sense completely lulled.

The pictures in imagination racing fast,
I clearly see my present and my past,
I find the missing pieces of my dream,
and realize what makes my soul scream...

Although this awakening causes pain
I know what it helped me gain.

by Maryna from Ukraine

Fly

I like to fly high
But I'm very shy
I don't know why
Why I always cry
I see glowing future in the sky
Like diamond in the light
Staying alone in the night
Dreaming about the bright
But I don't know why...
Why am I shy ?

There Will Always Be

There will always be
A time when it’s hard

You need to give yourself

Feelings

I have many different feelings and they are different
Because sometimes I feel like an animal,
Sometimes I feel like an idiot
But many times I feel so happy
Because this is me
And this are my feelings
I must know how to control them
Know what is giving me a kind of feeling
So that I don’t have to do such a thing
Because I know when I do it
It changes my feelings
And it changes my feelings into a feeling
That I don’t like because it hurt me.
The feelings are different
Like a stage when a person grows up
from being a baby to an adult person.
Feelings!
Are different.

Weakness

I really wanted to cry;
But the tears didn’t just come out
It was really painful and heartbreaking;
But my body refused to succumb to the pressure
It was a moment of deep weakness;
But l found that there can be strength in weakness
Having a hard time doing something;
Is just a sign that you are not perfect;
Because you can never be.

by Denzel from Zimbabwe

Here I Will Stand

Here I will stand
Be it cold or hot
With my heart and hand
I will give a lot
Rarely do I take
I’m a palm tree
I’m hard to shake
How can you uproot me?

by Henda from Tunisia

Poetry

Oh it's hard to say,
Whatever makes me feel this way,
I don't know what to say,
what my thoughts has to play.

When i sit on my own alone,
Surrounded by everyone (family, friends and strangers ),
Whilst darkness emerges within slowly grasping normality,

What do i have to do,
To make the candle burn enough,
N spread the light around,
Nothing can change by just sitting and thinking over it,

May be one day i will be free to rise to soar to laugh,
Enjoy life and forget what use to be and finally yell hurrah!

If there's God, then why people still hate,
If there's hell, then why i am living it,
If there's heaven, then why i am living it,
If i am human, then why do i not feel,

When i fly, why can it not last,
When i fight, why does it not end,
When i shoot, why not me ?
When i am happy, why my happiness don't last ?

With my chains and shackles of life,
I am free without them,
I am lost and confined,
Oh God help me and get me my freedom n happiness back

by Zahra from Access Pakistan

To Women

In all places and countries
There are discriminated women and girls

Although they struggle against many difficulties
They don’t surrender achieving their dreams

They lift up their voices
They make serious and decisive decisions

Even if they were humiliated for centuries
They will always be dignified for other ages

They lit up these miserable lives
With their strength, willpower and victories

They will always be united across the distances
They will always be united despite the differences

Here there working hard in factories
Trying to protect and raise their kids

They’re always caring about others
By having lots of responsibilities as mothers

They’re bearing the burden of the worlds
But they overcome all the obstacles

Some think that they’re a shame in religions
But they believe that they’re an honor for all humans

They won’t let down their goals
Because they will defend their duties

So don’t care about some people’s rumors
Just keep smiling and laughing despite the problems

You’re right according to ethics and morals
World love you forever women and girls

You are the homes and days
You are the best melody of lives

Sad Angle

Sometimes everything is going to be sad!
When someone leaves you in the mid,
Silence burns inside,
There is sadness everywhere,
Like the sadness of mine.

And ever thing is going to be shy!
There is so dark in the sky,
And ! there is so dark in my heart too
There is nothing but tears,
Are the ocean of my life,

And everything is going to be mysterious!
So far from others,
And! everyone is going to be deep & deep,
I can’t fine any one soul,
Because I am unable to do anything

And everything is going to be hard!
But I want to fly like bird,
Free and placid,
But I don’t think so,
Because I am too tired.
Hopria

Every Morning I Behold

Every morning I behold
The breaking waves of the sea
They tell the story of deep affection
To meet the shore with ecstasy
They inspire me to be
Spontaneous, fragile willingly
Being fragile is not a curse
It can sometimes work amazingly
A wave whispered in my ear
While I was beholding the sea
"I am foamy and fragile yet
I can sculpt the rocks easily."
I figured out and realized
The weakness of manki

LPC is an institution,
Which is our concentration.
We learn English here,
To have success in every sphere.
Not only we learn English,
But also learn not to be selfish.
There are programs here all over the month,
Have to celebrate, can't say “we can't.”
Make posters, give speeches,
For the topic, everyone searches.
Guests come from the embassy,
To have fun with us, to see.
Teachers share their work with each other,
Here, we are all sister and brother.
Hope, they will continue the course,
We will all succeed from this source.

"ACCESS and Success"

I have found a wonderful gate
By the help of U.S Department of State.
Through the gate, I am going to feel the success
It is only for you, only for becoming an ACCESS.
It makes me happy extremely
At a time I could not speak; I was fruitless
I did not know how to learn English
I was trying, but it was not in progress
Today, maybe, I am going to get the success
It is obviously, because of being an Access

Everyone observes the face of Munalisa
They say, oh my god! What a beautiful is this!
Why do not you look at me, and at my progress?
A disadvantaged student of Bangladesh
Who is going to touch the success.
Why do not you thank them?
Who played a great role to remove my darkness.

You may have seen a pitcher or a pot;
Very expensive but bottomless.
Then what would be? It must be waterless.
As a young leader I have to stop it, I have to close
With the confidence, I have to say
It's possible. It's I can, It's I will, because I am an ACCESS
I get myself changed, I get me developed.
I learnt a lot, I overcame my blindness.
I am not only learning the English language,
Besides this, I am getting the awareness.
Because, I exchanged a lot who faced duress
So, completely, I am going to see the success
No doubt, it for becoming an Access

How can I give you thank, you are really enormous
No language in the world to address
To give the description of your effort
Because, you made my foundation when I was baseless
Today, surely, I am going to have the success

It is obviously, for becoming an Access.

Thank you U.S. Department of States,
thank you the FHI360, and thank you all.

Access Poetry month

Access's become part of my life.
It made my dreams come true, alive.
I like to see the kids inspired,
And know that they are never tired.
American English they study,
Values and culture - country study.
They read, listen, write and speak,
Become stronger those who are weak.
They become active, friendly and dear,
And learn to be a volunteer,
To develop leadership skills,
And respect others' thrills.
Access makes students bright,
And their worldview wide.
They learn to work in teams
And be supportive teens.
Programmers become close friends,
Their friendship never ends.
Together they pass exams,
Together they live in camps.
It is incredible to learn from them.
It is such fun to be with them.
We have become Access community.
Thanks, US Embassy, for opportunity.

“Access My Achievement Tree”

Access is my achievement tree
It grows out of our efforts and learning
Access is my achievement tree, where I learned to climb up
Access is a shady tree, under which I learned to walk and relax
Access is a tree on which flowers blossom, which made me enjoy the smell of knowledge
Access is a tree on which grows the fruits of success, which made me to pick the best one
Access is my achievement tree, on whose leaves dew drops of success shines
Access is my achievement tree, a deep rooted tree
Which made me stand straight and strong
Access is my achievement tree

Access is like a seed

Access is like a seed
Released in a fertile soil
It is an opportunity
You just need to garden it
Make it to grow healthy
Planted in us by merit
Access sprout and bloom
With the help of committed teachers
Dedicated students
Access shows us that we will all get it
Regardless of the circumstances

As a tree which bears beautiful fruits
Access gives us different paths
Best choices
Making us grow as a tree
For Access, the sky is the limit

Knowledge

One day I asked myself ...
Where's the know?
I answered myself
This response that few know
Often, get well soon
Other times they took days to understand
But I know that the error brings knowledge
And they have learned to live
A life is like a boat
That follows its path almost non-stop!
When you stop to fill your luggage
Of knowledge for the life you lead
English is one of them
For some very complicated to understand
For others, easy to handle
For me and for you is the same love

And perform. See the world and make poetry.
Every verse reminds us of a day never say goodbye,
Just talk to see you soon.

Because we are students Access.
We have with us the best teachers,
And the support of those who believe that the world can still change

a course that offers victories
and brings great memories
I am very happy to be in Access

I intend to go to the USA
through the project young ambassadors
If God allows me I will go there

The place of all comforts.
The foundation of all the ideas.
The birth of all opinions.

Access

Access is a window
for young dreamers
a gateway
for generations of dreamers
No Matter the day
we get up in the certainty that
we will win another victory
And we are strong enough
To achieve our goals
And we'll never say never
Access comes
Bringing several opportunities
And that will helps us in the future
In the end we'll see that
Everything we did
was worth it and
We Won a stage of many
Access is not only
A Course But...
A great creator of possibilities.

ACCESS

Have you ever thought of fixing a plot?
Jumping in the life ocean and getting this dream in motion?
Why don't you start to swim and change this dream to stream?
Why don't you start to sail and stop biting your nail?
Choose a safe boat, then you'll start to float
Join a group of dreamers, forget about the roamers.
Share with them an oar, help them reach the shore
To guarantee success
Board the boat ACCESS

Chahira from Access Tunisia

We are born, grow up and die.
But life is deeper than this, we can do better, we just have to try!
Life is simple after all,
But we can't stop above the wall.
When we have to decide something,
The solution will come as time goes by.
Just stop, and keep breathing,
But don't turn a blind eye.
Sometimes it comes with an opportunity,
Mine is the ACCESS,
Even has given me chance to help the community.
I believe that is the way to my success.
I'm thankful to have teachers who said that all can be possible,
Even friends, indeed amazing friends!
So I remember that nothing is impossible,
After all, I'm proud to have tried, because it changed my end

It is the family that unites us all
And every voice here counts
To make a difference for us all.
We learn a great language
That is spoken around the world
As well, we learn how to manage

LPC is an institution,
Which is our concentration.
We learn English here,
To have success in every sphere.
Not only we learn English,
But also learn not to be selfish.
There are programs here all over the month,
Have to celebrate, can't say “we can't.”
Make posters, give speeches,
For the topic, everyone searches.
Guests come from the embassy,
To have fun with us, to see.
Teachers share their work with each other,
Here, we are all sister and brother.
Hope, they will continue the course,
We will all succeed from this source.

A dream comes true
A merit that I won
a course that offers victories
and brings great memories
I am very happy to be in Access
I learn every day
I made a lot of friends
real friends
I intend to go to the USA
through the project young ambassadors
If God allows me I will go there
As soon as my English course ends
Wonderful people I'll meet
Great opportunities I'll have
And in the future, when I look back
I'll thank all the great teachers I've had

Access

Access is a window
for young dreamers
a gateway
for generations of dreamers
No Matter the day
we get up in the certainty that
we will win another victory
And we are strong enough
To achieve our goals
And we'll never say never
Access comes
Bringing several opportunities
And that will helps us in the future
In the end we'll see that
Everything we did
was worth it and
We Won a stage of many
Access is not only
A Course But...
A great creator of possibilities.

ACCESS

Have you ever thought of fixing a plot?
Jumping in the life ocean and getting this dream in motion?
Why don't you start to swim and change this dream to stream?
Why don't you start to sail and stop biting your nail?
Choose a safe boat, then you'll start to float
Join a group of dreamers, forget about the roamers.
Share with them an oar, help them reach the shore
To guarantee success
Board the boat ACCESS

We are born, grow up and die.
But life is deeper than this, we can do better, we just have to try!
Life is simple after all,
But we can't stop above the wall.
When we have to decide something,
The solution will come as time goes by.
Just stop, and keep breathing,
But don't turn a blind eye.
Sometimes it comes with an opportunity,
Mine is the ACCESS,
Even has given me chance to help the community.
I believe that is the way to my success.
I'm thankful to have teachers who said that all can be possible,
Even friends, indeed amazing friends!
So I remember that nothing is impossible,
After all, I'm proud to have tried, because it changed my end

Rush

I can see your light every afternoon,
I can see your face on the moon;
If you do not come at noon,
Of love I will die pretty soon.

Our knowledge,

A Poem for the Martyred of Bomb Blasts in Pakistan

Crippled hope swinging high,
In the mid of Blackening day
Shinning sun, getting dimed,
Moving air catching fear,
Swerving legs, broken steps,
Perched lips, shivered souls,
Quickened motions, hustled clienteles,
Awaited eyes, pale learners,
Ajared ends, bewildered smiles,
Waned laughters
Half recovered injuries, half shook hands
Half opened lips_
Halted Fast
Forever Alas!
O father and daughter
O mother and son
O sister and brother
Of Departed Dear
I do not fear,
The ebb and flow
Because I know:
Heavens greeting thee
World is with me:
In the moving cyclone
I’m never Alone
I’m never Alone!!!

Blood Ruby

Blood
Red like a ruby
Red like the sunset.
Blood
A vehicle for oxygen
For life.
Blood
Red as a beating heart
Red like a red soldier
Starving to live and to fight
To get that red ruby
In a sunset made of blood.

Death

What is death?
Is it when you are not able
To talk to the one you admire,
Not being able to see the face
Of whom you adore, not being
Able to touch them, I don’t know
What is death but I know what it’s not

Death is not when you are able
To smile and to laugh with your loved ones
Death is when you are not feeling the pain,
The anguish, melancholy and the isolation
I don’t know what is death but I know what it’s not

Don’t Be Inane

Get rid of the train
That roars in your brain
Your sanity is likely to wane
Relying only on others is in vain
Many of them are eager to feign
And over you, they tend to reign
Once they mesmerize you, they will never refrain
Break the chain and seize your own rein
Only your own wits can help you attain
The shoreline before you faint
We Long for Peace
No need to retrace
Previous faults or disgrace
Just look ahead and think twice
How lovely it could be nice
If we live together in one place

With good grace
Show a smiling face
That fills the whole space
With a message of peace
That none dare to efface

Fighting Failure

Heads down as we fall
It was a dream, it was a goal.
We all say we out of luck,
We sit down and no stall.
So how in earth we just expect
Much care and no neglect?
Giving up will make us deserve

Honest

I was born honest because I’m
Just being honest. I was going to tell a
Life but I had to tell the truth I’m just
Being honest. Sometimes being honest is good
Honest, do you know what is honest? Honest,
Is the opposite of reliable. You can lie to me
But be honest to yourself. Honest the
Prosperity for life. Honest is like a poem
That can’t be written. Honest is like our
Promises of another tomorrow

Hypocrisy

A multi-faced spook figure,
With moving hands and twisted legs
Eyes at four sides;
Looks bitterly sweet and weirdly good,
Caste spells to capture the soul,
Golden dragon at hand
Spits out fire,
Nails like hair it grew on body,
When look
its soft,
When touch it hurts,
Arms wide open for embrace
Under that a stinging scorpion rest,
Deceivingly Graceful
Oh! You be careful!
Once come in it’s grip
No way to skip;
Sated thorny way,
For that I say,
Just run away
Just run away!!

Ice cream

I don’t think
Intagation
Entered
Into it
Officer

You see
There were
Little negro girl
Standing here
Alone
And her
Mother
Went to that
Store there

Then
There came by
This little boy here
Without his mother and
Eating an ice-cream
See there it is strawberry

I'm Waiting for Nothing.

In the end, all is disappear.
You didn’t come back.
The truth is no longer girded.
My sight full of illusory.
That wishful always relentless calling you out.
Continue to get you out.
My twilight is so sad.
You quickly passed.
I hope, that differences unite us again.
Tight, like magnet.
Gravely... I shouldn’t be like this. But, my soul has been entangled.
My soul has burned.
Smolder, full of pain.
so bright like sunscreen.
I didn’t have tears anymore.
Let my love charred.
But, I've been fallen.
How else? Please, take me out from this yearning!

I Need a Girl!

I need a girl,
who never thinks to go,
and who has no farewell,
in her principles,
a girl who can be my mirror,
smiling to me,
in both happiness and anger,
a girl who is able,
to give me a little baby,
being me in a beautiful picture,
a girl or a boy from me,
to whom I should struggle,
to whom I'll bring happiness,
to his/ her fluffy pure life.
I need a pretty girl,
who will be in love clever,
the one to whom my heart,
will breath with non-stop,
in order to live together,
I need and I need not,
any girl that knocks my door,
but a girl who stays forever.

Lady Bird

Lady bird, lady bird
If I am a good girl,
Can I get a black pearl?
My little sister a blond curl?
My brother many white cats that purr?
My mother a brown fur?
And a long life to my father’s green fir?

Listen to a Citizen!

Blah... Blah... Blah...
Hush and hold still!
You sent me through the mill
You made my head a landfill
You're only casting a chill
That chains both my soul and will

You've made me constantly ill
You're no longer a bitter pill
It seems you don't know the drill
Leave the stage to those who fit the bill
As you're already over the hill

Moon's Halo

Oh! my dear,
You are like a moon in an evening lie—
so bright in a clear night sky.
Even my thicketh wall in my heart—
penetrate your lovely radiant.
The more I see your different phase,
the more I want to say, what a noblest Moon .
But, Please! Don't stare at me—
the way you do to me, right now.
It made me shut,
And crawls the knot.

Yeah! like a moon—
You are too high
up there in His throne.
And... I know,
Everyone loves you—
like the way I do.

That's why, I'll wait for (...)
To see you, to ---- you more and more.
I will never be afraid 'coz I know—
you are somewhere there in His core.

My Perfect Soccer Boots

My perfect
Soccer boots black and yellow
In colour name Nike Tiempo they are
From Nike factory. Factory that produce good
Quality product. I was happy when I bought
Them in Nike factory, but now someone stole them
I don’t know who stole them. It was fun when
My soccer boots is with me by the time now. I think
Is not cool when you stole someone’s property.
I think is not cool when you stole is embrasiting
your self and other people. I think a person who
stole my soccer he/she didn’t stole my soccer boots
only he/she stole many things to other people. God will punish

Nowhere to sit down [1]       In every cave

Nothing more to say         No one is relative

Everything is paid          What I spend

Of Glory and a Story

Coconut nectar to dip your lip,
Lest hazel nut juice is too cold to sip,
For the freezing teeth, the cracking sound,
Let natural grease make the bound.
Zip the code, find the link
Sink the globe into a myriad of hip

Hold the hope, suffice the clip
Take the sheep into the world of ship.
Begin the journey of soft and pink,
Of a lasting glory with a ephemeral drink.

On Behalf of the Dead

This is for those who’ll die tomorrow, now planning for ages to come
“Broken alarms cannot be fixed with paper clips and minted gum”

A homeless guest so featureless to know where he is coming from
He lives within that hollow promise, between those hopes however old
Inside the steel safe in the bedroom, laying beside the buried gold
Far from the sun and its reflection, for life is warm and death is cold

The sleepless nights, the semi-whispers, the tortured souls that make my bed
Red collar slaves that never lived, but now at least they’re being read
The oldest song I’m chanting now
Written by spirits more than dead

Photography

I cannot imagine
that I captured the Past.
And able to step inside
a memory of a lass.

She's staring at me
from across the centuries.
And never been thought,
that she was a ghost of worries—
a ghost preserved by Light.

I know it may not be possible
to travel backward in TIME—
to control time.
But perhaps, I might say—
right now, I'm patiently holding the past—and even its memories.

Race

The wheels turn like the earth
Children love to play with the wheels
They have black, pink
Every evening they gather at the Grand-Place
To play racing wheels
They line up and wait
The impact of the whistle
Whenever the start is given
They turn all their strength
The wheels turn as the earth
They probably crush anything they find on their way
Even old man but children believe much stronger than the wheels
In that they manipulate their way
While they are certainly subject by them
The wheels turn as the earth
Sometimes the first is the one with the black wheel
Sometimes it is the one with the pink wheel
Whenever it is the black wheel
All children laugh at the first, grumble, heckle
If it is the pink wheel all the children dance, clap
With strength and waving handkerchiefs and gifts for the child
But the children know why they love pink wheel.

Secret

I keep our secret
Hidden inside the chest,
Of memories, treasured
Like the constant ooze
Of the spring water
From the hole rivuleting.
Guess, the bubbles could not tell Nor could print it on paper to sell;
The water of course washes it
Away to faraway seas.
It is best for our secret
To sail in the ocean of our hearts
Where no one could ever hear.
The lap of waves of its mystery
Except your blood vessel and mine.

See How You Create Liars and Crooks

He's become a wardrobe full of cloaks
Like a lizard with different looks
To please your tastes, selfish folks
You drove him to pretend and coax
And custom-make a vesture of hoax
To fit the characters in your own books

Tell Me!

I wonder why some people do not ponder
Before acting or uttering words of wonder
Is it out of denseness or narrowness?
Or maybe due to immaturity or impulsiveness?
Or just to vex or show rudeness?
Are they aware of the repercussions
Of their irresponsible actions
and verbal aggression?
Shall we resort to avoidance
Or wear a costume of patience?

The American Flag

In front of White House
Looking at the Flag
Noticing the wind wave
Where it has a drag

What does it lack?
When he is Here
To display the freedom
And America’s fair

The flag is flown by herself
Or air flutters it, in its power?
Does she want to be free
Or feels free with no answer?

As a symbol of independence
It’s controlled with a pipe and rope
How does it look like?
And what does America hope?

Small, white and five-pointed stars
In the same sky in fifty types
But, defeating Them, why they are as
Thirteen-alike-straight-red-stripes?

Not any end of beautification
Here, the perfection lies
To make it significant a lot
It’s reformed for 26 times

Not only for America
It’s a sign of peace
How it flies and offers hope
Rest of the universe, it sees

The Mouse Catcher

He stealthily creeps on the roof at night.
You could sense him, though he is out of sight.
His brilliant eyes could spot any thing in the dark.
His feet on the wet sink leave paw prints like mosaic
which is not colored but only black and white.
In the morning, you could see rats and mice
lying cold on your kitchen floor.
You curse the culprit of the deed,
only later you get it.
The hairy being did it
to save your household things
from being gnawed and bitten.

The Sound and a Fury

Gee, Blake whose Sound shops
Let the beaker spill in drops!
All the black dreams and streams and hopes,
As they slowly melt at the beckoned globe,
On top of the slopes’ race and face and grace.
Beware though as you cross the fields,
For trees might still hold wee mosquitoes
That might catch your glimpse as you hurry
To the Snow forest amidst all Fury

The Web

The web, a free-association
A window for possibilities
A green path of shift and access
A web page
A radio cluster trial
A vision to access mass communications
Weaving cables
With control like a spider
As a flash of meanings
With no exact meanings
A blue fish of solar energy
In a fisherman’s net
The web a free-association
A window for possibilities
A green path of shifts and access
A window, a nucleus.

The Writer

With the pen in hand, lifted till a height
Imagination wonders to crawl up, blown with insight..
I am paused, just to get the right of this epitome
Waiting for thoughts, that urges me at home..
To overlap rainbow, hoping for turquoise
This is an author’s voice, depicting a writer’s choice..

Memory persuaded, to keep it short
Life is full of dreams, for getting up at another fort..
Daily routine circled round, time is few
“Oh boy, Oh way”, realized each time when it’s new..
To graphein, nitty-gritty is needed in group
“Not new, not again” sounded cacophonous, when asked for proof..

With the logos relates to fruits, being through
“Strawberry Avalanche” Always gets screwed..
When state of being Impecunious, Always held around
Poverty lends wakeup thoughts, Shall dig in deep it sounds..
Nausea & Nostalgia keeps a target, when bumps in
Idioms on Ship & Home prompts, for fishes watery fins..

Sometimes Inspirational and moved, arouses Goosebumps
Jotting those ascetic views too, caused due to slumps..
Being philologist, Encounters for everything in words
To keep it vivid, riddles the milk with doubted curd

To make everything in just dreams, out those dreams
Then keep everything where it needs to be, A Semanticist whims
To verbose for essentials, maintaining the poise
This is an author’s voice, depicting a writer’s choice

They Believed Him

They believed him, because he was so much of a role model
They believed him, because he pampered them so much with gifts
They believed him, because it was a matter of life and death
They believed him; maybe it was the only thing that would give them hope
They believed him, because he really knew how to choose his words
They believed him;
Coz he always had an answer to their problems
I really believe, they believed him;
Because everyone believes in something.

Placed on the right keys.

UN-PERSONIFICATION

It was a day of the fall
And the trees were crying for the gray Land
The Land was burning with a cold fireball
And the Vultures were the Waiting Band

My pen was looking through the sash
At the ashen people as the dolls
Spiritless like the ash
Without a movement as the walls

He was whispering:
The new style of writing
Un-personification; human is a lifeless thing
Then on his face, tears were streaming…

Fallen fallen completely for you..
I didn't know I would,
But you showed me I could....
My feelings for you when you are around and near,
Are so unexplainable my dear..
Feels like butterflies full of colours in my tummy and face painted pinkish hue,
That immediately drains to hide it from you...
With that smile of yours I must say,
You brighten up my day....
Stepping out in the daylight my eyes are for you in quest,
When in bed these eyes dream of you and rest...
It was just wonderful to hear you call my name,
Looking forward for the day when again you call me the same....
This feeling of love I never before felt,
And now in your arms I wish to melt...
You and me getting together is just not possible,
Which I failed to realize before falling into this puddle...
Hence, decided to just gape and dream of you,
Coz I've completely completely fallen for you...

Wise Man

An old wise man
Experienced by life and marked with its scars
Persistently trying to pass down his wisdom

Yesterday

With the rising of the sun,
Each morning;
We undertake our daily chores
What we do know is this
A day has been added to our lives
We endeavor for a better tomorrow
But we do not forget that there was;
Yesterday
There is not a tomorrow without a today;
And there is not a today,
Without a yesterday.
When all is said and done
No matter where, you’ve gone
People will always want to know;
Do you have a yesterday?

Thousand Persons Cannot Recover Absent of One

There was a world of peace,
Where there was no storm of grief
There was only peace and love
A dream world like heaven
Your shelter was over my head
Like an aspirin for all my sorrows
But now everything is altered
My life is complete yet incomplete
I remember you and your care for me
But hope ends with life
People says that absence of one person can’t stop life
They don’t know presence thousand persons can’t recover the absent of one.

Glowing Grains

The sky was a sea of blue,
Adorned with fleecy white puffs,
Under this deep wash of blue,
Grains scattered on this square yard,

I knelt on the sea of grains,
Wondered like a child,
That man kept opening sacks
And shook off more grains,
Like a magician waved his handkerchief,
Conjured out things endlessly,
Left the watcher mesmerized

The sea of grains made a warm quilt for earth,
I ran my fingers along the wheat,
Each one plump and unique,
Reflected off the sunlight,
Squinting and leaning,
I identified the subtle change in colors,
It wasn’t just the golden tone,
Pigments of auburn, ocher, pale gold all mixed on the palette,
Forming a sea of glowing beads

As I was in a trance,
The magician spilled the whole sack of grains over my head,
Corns and wheat cascaded down my body,
In awe,
I squirmed and squealed,
A wave of joy flowed through my body,
As if I were in a baptism,
Reborn by nature,
Clean and cozy,
Ready to embrace the world with a grin.

Free

As human we are never free
No matter how much we look up to the sky
We were born to put our feet on the ground
Even when our head is in the cloud

Every second , we keeps wishing for something
Yet we can only hoping
The world is too harsh
I wish to protect something
But something had gone

There is nothing that scares us
Except that we got nothing we truly yearn
And things we truly want to protect without any selfishness

If you think you are free
Think again
We live to please and tolerate with people
No matter how much we think we are free
There will always be someone that we love that will stop our freedom

We tend to follow because we just want them to be happy

You're not free unless you never love anyone other than yourself
